Description
December 15th, 2018. 8:00am to 8:00pm. Coldwater Mountain 6HRS 12HRS is a timed event that will be ran on the 1.2 Mile Baby Bear loop in a clockwise direction. The course has slightly rolling terrain with 50’ of gain and loss per loop. You’ll run though the canopy of hardwoods and pines on single-track trails. Each loop will be chip timed.
There will be a fully stocked aid station at the start/finish area that you will have access to on each loop but you can also set up your own personal aid station along the side of the course.

Directions:
From Birmingham, take I-20 East approximately 41.5 Miles to Exit 179 (AL-202/Coldwater Rd.). Turn left onto AL-202 and go approximately 2.1 miles to Calhoun Co. Rd. 109/Coldwater Pump Road. Turn right on Coldwater Pump Road and go approximately 0.2 miles and turn right onto the new public access road.

Saturday, December 15 - Packet and Bib# pickup at race headquarters - Coldwater Mountain Trailhead - From 6:45am till 7:45am.
8:00am - 6hr and 12 hr race start
2:00pm - Completion of 6hr race
8:00pm - Completion of 12hr race
Awards will be given to most loops/miles completed three deep, male and female also included are M/F Masters and Grand Masters. To be considered for an award for the 6hr race you must still be moving beyond 5hrs and beyond 11hrs for the 12hr race. All others will receive a unique finisher award.

Accommodations
There are many hotel accommodations within a 15 minute drive or closer to Coldwater Mountain Trailhead. Too many to even list although the Oxford Exchange area have the most with numerous restaurants as well!
Limited tent camping will be available at Coldwater Mountain Traihead by the race Start/Finish area. There are no water or electrical hookups. No showers but do have bathrooms.
