CREW DIRECTIONS FROM START TO FINISH - REVISED
Cheaha Lake #7 - This will be an aid station for 2024. Cheaha State Park is allowing the aid station at the lake again upon strict crew instructions. Please abide by these guidelines!!! Our goal is to limit the congestion of vehicles backing up to Skyway Motorway after turning onto Cheaha Rd. before entering Cheaha Lake to crew runners going through Aid 7. ***We will be setting up a slick text, all crews must sign into the text prior to race day. Crews will be notified when their runner has gone through Aid 6 (CCC Rd) by bib number only. No Crew Cars proceed to Aid Station #7 (Cheaha Lake) until they recieve the text, At that time, crews may proceed to Aid 7 (Cheaha Lake). This procedure will determine if we are able to keep Aid 7 at Cheaha Lake for 2025. While Crews are waiting, this would be a great time for them to go grab lunch a Oxford Exchange. It is only a 30 min drive from there to Aid Station #7 (Cheaha Lake) - More than plenty of time to get there way before their runner arrives.
The last time you see your runner before Aid Station #7 (Cheaha Lake) is Aid Station #3 ( Horseblock I20 Overpass) |
Crew information can be found in the Click here for Runner Manual but redundancy is good :-)

The Below is very important to all Crew Vehicals
Since 2008, the Pinhoti 100 has taken place on the Talladega and Shoal Creek Ranger Districts. There have been safety concerns for individuals participating in the race, folks who follow the racers in their vehicles, and other forest visitors due to the high volume of traffic on the forest roads, county roads and state highways during this event. We do realize that you wish to support the individual that has entered this event, but it must be done in a safe manner.
Drive responsibly, pay attention to road conditions (these are gravel roads and they are dusty which makes driving conditions more dangerous), and share the road with forest visitors, hunters, loggers, etc.
This year, the following rules will be enforced by law enforcement per-sonnel:
Park well off of any paved or dirt road (All Four tires off road)
Don’t block the normal flow of traffic
Due to continued safety issues, Forest Service and local Law Enforce-ment Officers will be present. If individuals block a road, drive reck-lessly, ignore speed limits, or block access to a recreation area, they will receive a citation. Further, if your vehicle is blocking a road, or where is not supposed to be, it will be towed.
