THE 10K WILL FOLLOW THE SAME ROUTE AS THE 1/2 MARATHON. HEFLIN SPUR TRAIL TO PINHOTI TRAIL. APPROX 1 MILE ON THE PINHOTI TRAIL BEFORE TURNING AROUND AND HEADING BACK TO THE FINISH LINE AT CAHULGA.

Race Information
Location: Cahulga Park, 343 Mouintain Street, Heflin Al
Date: April 27th, 2024
Start: 7:00a.m. CDT FOR 50k - 8AM FOR 1/2 Marathon and 10K
Packet/Bib Pickup: NOTE: We WILL have packet pick up on Friday, April 26th at the Finish line (343 Mountain St, Heflin AL 36264) between 3-6:30pm Or for the 50K you can pick up your packet/bib at the Start line area (FS532/ Greenleaf Dam) on Saturday April 27th between 6:30am and 6:50am. Race will start at 7am
50K - Transportation (Bus) to the start will be available. Bus will leave Cahulga Park (Finish Line), Heflin, AL at 5:55am. Please reserve your place on ultrasignup.com with your registration. If you need transportation and have not reserved a bus ticket, you may go back to your registration, go to the store option and purchase a ticket for $15.00.
For the 1/2 Marathon and 10K trail race you can pick up your packet/bib# on Friday, April 26th (343 Mountain St, Heflin AL 36264) between 3-6:30pm or Saturday April 27th at the same location between 7:35am and 7:50am
Finisher Awards: All Finishers will receive a unique finisher award. There will be top 1st through 3rd M/F and 1st M/F Master awards for 50K. Top 3 M-F for 1/2 Marathon and 10K.
We will again host the race at Cahulga Park (downtown Heflin) as our Finish area for the 50K and Start/Finish for the 1/2 Marathon and 10K. There will be markings for the 10K'ers to turn around. Cahulga WILL allow camping this year. Yes, you have read this correctly!!!
We have ordered extra porter potties for your morning and after race convenience. :)
When arriving at the park, please park on the sides of the road, or in the marked off area for the race. This area will be limited so please park as close to one another, as possible.
Some of the precautions we would like to follow at the aid stations…
.
- Fill your own water bottle :( Aid station workers will hold down the water spout for you as you hold the bottle to be filled, or they will pour from the pitcher of GU as you hold your bottle.
- Use spoon provided in food where provided
- Please throw away any trash via trash bag at station.
- Remember to social distance yourself from the trees….just kidding!
