Pinhoti 100 will be using Chip Timing. You will be required to attach the RFID chip to your shorts on the right or left side. Pin will be supplied. The chip will not only be used at the finish line but also along the course.
The RFID chip will be held on to your clothing by using one safety pin. So later in the night when you get cold and need to add a jacket or change clothes it will only take a second to move the chip on to the outside of whatever clothing you are wearing so the readers can pick it up, (read the chip). The RFID chip must always be visible and attached to your right or left side of your body. It must NOT be covered by any clothing.
If you DNF along the course you must turn in your BIB# and RFID Chip to the Aid Station. When you finish you'll just need to make sure you turn in the RFID chip after completion of the race.
